Why is a strong Chamber important? So that we can provide businesses, with a focus on small businesses, with the tools and support necessary to help them survive and to grow. Some of those tools include our Tools For Business Success on this Website – made possible by a grant from The Bank of the West.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) defines a small business as having fewer than 500 employees.
For example, small business
- Represents 99.7 percent of all employer firms
- Employs about half of all private sector employees.
- Generates 60-80 percent of net new jobs annually.
- Creates more than half of nonfarm private gross domestic product (GDP).
Our goal is to determine what business owners need and provide those services or resources through our chamber. We have grown from 2 members three years ago to 151 member companies and affiliates.
